What is StayActiv?

While the resulting compound is not an amino acid*, the StayActiv molecule is based on common and natural amino acids that individually do not have anti-inflammatory properties but, when blended together and synthesized as we do, they together form a product that expresses the same dose-related anti-inflammation effects as leading NSAID’s like ibuprofen (a popular non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug).

The main difference is that StayActiv accomplishes its pain-relief without side effects such as stomach ulceration (gastro-intestinal bleeding) or toxicity to the liver or kidneys. StayActiv also will not slow down protein synthesis as NSAID’s do, which is key to muscle and tissue healing.

Safety, toxicity, and necropsy studies were performed at the University of Missouri Medical Center with no negative side effects or contra-indications observed, even when dosed at super-therapeutic levels (30x recommended dosage). All safety data has been submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Was the goal of StayActiv to eliminate some of the side-effects of common anti-inflammatory drugs?

No one would choose to suffer from the side effects associated with many over-the-counter and prescription pain relieving drugs. These side effects can include stomach, liver and/or kidney damage. Developing a product that was safe and non-toxic wasn’t the initial goal of our anti-inflammatory research but in university studies (performed at major Division I University Medical Centers), we saw impressive therapeutic results and subsequently, in toxicology studies, verified that the compound was safe and non-toxic even under super-therapeutic dosage regimens. Animal necropsy studies and human volunteer assessments resulted in no abnormal organ or blood chemistry profiles.

What are the dosing recommendations?

Capsules:
• To support pain-free health and an active lifestyle – take 2 capsules daily
• For healthy recovery from acute aches and pains – take 2 capsules up to 3-times daily
• For strenuous exercise – take 2 capsules one-hour before exercise to reduce lactic acid build up; then take 2 capsules after exercise to relieve / reduce inflammation.

Cream:
• Apply topical cream directly to affected areas of the body as needed and thoroughly rub-in (cleanse and dry area before each application). You may feel a prickling sensation as the StayActiv ingredients penetrate the skin. After 30 minutes, the treated area can be rinsed or wiped off clean. 

How does StayActiv work?

StayActiv increases the body’s natural ability to control release of prostaglandins by stabilizing mitochondria and the effects of arachidonic acid and related chemical messaging pathways that trigger inflammation / cell death. However, it accomplishes this without being a COX inhibitor or cyclooxygenase pathways. It also helps to reduce the production of, and diffuse the build-up of, lactic acid so as to relieve exercise-induced fatigue and muscle discomfort.

What side-effects are there with NSAIDS and COX-2 inhibitors?

Most commonly, the classes of drugs that include ibuprofen, acetaminophen and aspirin can have negative effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding (stomach ulcerations), hepatic toxicity (liver damage) and renal toxicity (kidney damage) when taken in excess or chronically. Some other side effects of NSAIDs can be as simple as an allergic reaction that could be life-threatening as well as adverse interactions with other medications.

There are no toxic side effects or adverse reactions with StayActiv when taken as directed.

If athletes use StayActiv, are there any drug-testing related concerns?

No. StayActiv is not only safe, but it’s completely legal and compliant with all NCAA and Olympic and professional sports organizations. We have had it tested for the NCAA , NFL, IOC, and Major League Baseball list of banned substances and it registers as clean on all doping control tests.

When will users begin to see results upon taking StayActiv?

Everyone responds differently when taking over-the-counter and prescription drugs, this is common so your results from relief of aches and pain can be as little as 5 minutes with the cream; and within 20-30 minutes with the capsules. For some chronic pain conditions, some users experience significant and advancing relief over a 2-4 week period and then adjust dosages to continue relief with minimum effective doses.

Will StayActiv blunt muscle protein synthesis like common NSAIDs?

Muscle protein synthesis is an essential function on how the body grows and repairs skeletal muscle; especially from exercise and intense activity sometimes resulting in strains and physical damage. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen are two of the most commonly consumed over the counter analgesics to prevent pain and soreness in muscles but with an adverse effect on muscle protein synthesis. Taking NSAIDs negatively impact while StayActiv will contribute towards and promote the body’s natural healing and repair process.
